Geza John Marx is a Managing Member and one of the three original founders of Marlcroft Asset Management. Geza’s entire professional career, beginning in 1977, has been in the personal investment management business. He has an extensive background of working with individuals, trusts and estates.

Prior to forming Marlcroft, Geza spent nearly 20 years as a portfolio manager in the private banking divisions of Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) and Citigroup. Geza earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Rutgers University (1977) and a Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Pace University (1980). He continued his professional education by completing the Chartered Financial Analyst program and received his designation as a CFA in 1986.

Geza’s investment philosophy can be described best by this phrase:
“The discipline in investing comes in determining value, not designation of style. Investing has been, and will always be, about buying securities at the right price and at the right time”.

Profile for James G. King, Managing Member

James G. King is a Managing Member and one of the three original founders of Marlcroft Asset Management. Jim has worked in the financial services industry for his entire professional career.

Throughout his professional career, Jim has been dedicated to providing high quality client specific portfolio management to individuals, family businesses, trusts and estates. His goal with all of his clients is to earn the title of “trusted advisor” through hard work and dedication to helping his clients attain their individual financial goals and objectives.

Jim began his professional career in 1977 as a Registered Sales Representative for First Investors Corp in New York City. From there, Jim moved to Bankers Trust (now Deutsche Bank) as a Portfolio Manager in their Private Banking Group. Prior to the formation of Marlcroft Asset Management, Jim spent 8 years as a VP-Senior Portfolio Manager in Citigroup’s Private Banking & Investment Division. Jim holds a BA from the State University at Fredonia, New York.

Profile for Margaret Punch, Director of Operations

Margaret (Peggie) Punch has been with Marlcroft since its inception. Peggie is the Director of Operations and oversees the day-to-day trade reconciliation, billing, official record keeping and general client relationship issues.

Prior to joining Marlcroft, Peggie spent her entire professional career at Citigroup. She joined Citigroup’s Private Banking Group in 1979 as an Estate Administrator in the Trust and Estate Division. >From there, she moved on to its Private Banking and Investment Group as a Portfolio Assistant, supporting portfolio managers with the management of their individual clients as well as various Funds. Peggie then became an Assistant Trader on Citigroup’s Fixed Income Trading Desk in support of various investment products.
